Surrounded by waters of the Mediterranean Sea, Mallorca is the biggest of the Balearic Islands. Above all, it is admired for sandy beaches which strech for many kilometres, for the dry summer climate, for spellbinding vistas (to list only the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range), and for picturesque seaside towns which have inspired such artists as Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, Francis Bacon and Frédéric Chopin since the year dot.
Mallorca abounds with charming inlets (Calas de Mallorca) and beaches. Many of them are located between high rocks, thus creating a wondrous atmosphere while swimming. Amongst the most interesting inlets located on Mallorca’s coastline are: Cala Figuera, Cala Barques, Cala d’Or, Cala Sant Vicenc and Cala Pi de la Posada. The island is filled with similar places which wish to be discovered. Travel along the coastline and see how many interesting places you’ll manage to find.
