Venice is one of the most beautiful and majestic cities in the world. It is built on a group of 117 islands connected with 417 bridges. In 1987, The Venetian Lagoon and Venice itself were listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The city is located about four kilometres from the mainland and two kilometres from open sea; it has a small surface and is divided into six districts, between which Canale Grande flows. Venice is incredibly charmful, both during winter when it’s covered by a spellbinding fog and during hot days when the venetian channels glisten in the sun.
